The young Los Angeles Lakers fought through a tough losing streak as the new year gets rolling. What exactly can be taken away from this losing streak as L.A. looks to get back to winning ways?

After a tough ending to the month of December, the Los Angeles Lakers (14-27) continued their season-long nine-game losing streak into January. The streak began after a thrilling victory over the Houston Rockets that ended their 14-game win streak. During this span, the Lakers were also without point guard Lonzo Ball, who had been nursing a shoulder injury.

While times have been difficult during the season, its not as bad as many think it is. Even after some experts had the Lakers making the playoffs, the team has performed rather well this season. Despite it all, the Los Angeles Lakers have turned in some impressive games against some of the league’s best teams. In other words, this is a trial season for the team out in Lala land.

With that in mind, there are a few things to take away from the recent slump. So for Lakers fans everywhere, there’s no need to panic. Brighter days are in sight! Let’s dive in into it.
