Where are the glass-eaters?

Another area of weakness for Indiana is on the boards, where they are 21st in the NBA in rebounds per game (41.9) and 19th in rebound percentage at 49.7.

The problem here is fairly simple: the Pacers don’t have any stud rebounders, and they have too many guys who play major minutes who don’t rebound well for their position.

Among the starters, center Myles Turner, power forward Thaddeus Young and small forward Bojan Bogdanovic would all have to be considered minus rebounders — their rebounding averages are 6.5, 5.9 and 3.2 per game, respectively.

The closest thing the team has to an elite rebounder is Domantas Sabonis (who owns a very strong 18.8 rebounding percentage), but he comes off the bench so he doesn’t play enough to counterbalance his teammates’ underwhelming production on the boards.
