Scoring has not been a problem

The Pacers have done very well on the offensive end of the court, ranking fourth in the NBA in field goal percentage (48.1 percent), fourth in 3-point percentage (37.9 percent) and eighth in offensive rating with a mark of 108.1.

The main catalyst has been shooting guard Victor Oladipo, who came over from the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Paul George trade. Oladipo appears to be on the way to his first NBA All-Star appearance, averaging 24.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game in 2017-18.

The other piece in that deal, power forward/center Domantas Sabonis, has also been a pleasant surprise. He’s posting 12.5 points and a team-leading 8.0 rebounds per contest, but he’s also adding a great deal to the team with his passing and screen-setting abilities.

Indiana was expected to take a step back offensively after last season’s leading scorer (Paul George) was sent to the Western Conference, but that simply hasn’t materialized.
