Indiana Pacers: State of the team at midseason

The Indiana Pacers have exceeded expectations to this point, but there is still plenty of work to be done if this team wants to make noise in the playoffs.

After the Paul George fiasco unfolded this past summer, the Indiana Pacers were expected to be looking at a multi-year rebuild. However, things haven’t turned out that way, at least up to the season’s midpoint.

The Pacers’ record at the halfway mark is 21-20. They are not exactly lighting the league on fire, but they are much more competitive than anticipated, considering that the preseason consensus on this team was a 30-32 win regular season.

There is reason for the team’s fanbase to feel good about what the Pacers have accomplished so far, but is there more potential that has yet to be unleashed?
