The Boston Celtics need to find some extra insurance because of the poor play by the bench, and with the injury-riddled season. Here are three players this team should consider signing.

The time of 10-day contracts is finally here, which means that players that were free agents can sign with a team. This essentially helps both parties out because you’re not wasting a roster spot if things go wrong. This also helps the players show why they deserve to be on a team.

There are quite a few players who should be on some NBA rosters that are either sitting at home or playing in the G League, a few of which could help address some of the Boston Celtics‘ needs.

The Celtics don’t need to add anything to their already impressive starting lineup. However, they have one of the worst benches in terms of scoring. They are 23rd in the league with an ugly 31.6 points per game.

They are set with the two guard positions in Marcus Smart and Terry Rozier. The small forward and center positions are the greatest needs off the bench. There is not much help in that department for this squad. Semi Ojeleye is not the solution for small forward, which is why the Celtics should target someone with a 10-day deal.

Currently there is no real center off the bench anymore now that Aron Baynes is in the starting lineup. The team can play small and decide to put Marcus Morris and Daniel Theis in the frontcourt. The other option is place Baynes or Al Horford in with the second unit. But, it doesn’t hurt having a backup option, right?

Without further or do, here is a look at three players the Celtics should consider.
