2. Jan. 25 @ Oklahoma City Thunder

The Washington Wizards look to flex their “Star Power” muscles when they travel to face the Oklahoma City Thunder on Jan. 25. The young trio of John Wall, Bradley Beal and Otto Porter should pose a formidable for the veteran trio of Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony and Paul George.

Although Oklahoma City is a Western Conference opponent, the matchup serves as a good measuring stick for where the Wizards stand with the rest of the stars in the league. It will be their first of two meetings against the Thunder this season. Their game against Oklahoma City is part of a five-game road trip that features of mix of some Eastern and Western foes. Their game against the Thunder falls two days before they face the Atlanta Hawks.

The Wizards face the Thunder five days later at home, so there’s a change for vengeance if they fail to get the road victory. They’re 9-10 on the road as a team this season, a record they’ve looked to improve upon as the season has progressed. They are also 11-7 against Western Conference opponents this season as well.
