The Portland Trail Blazers just wrapped up a 1-2 three-game road trip. What were some things that fans can take away from what transpired?

Two games into the year 2018, the Portland Trail Blazers are 19-18 on the season. The team completed a three-game road trip on Tuesday with a 127-110 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. The trip also included a 104-89 loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Dec. 30 and a 124-120 win in overtime against the Chicago Bulls.

It’s harder to feel optimistic following this stretch compared to previous trips. Finishing 1-2, this is the first road trip of three or more games that the Blazers ended with a losing record. By extension, they also came away with their worst point differential, averaging a -9.3 margin.

However, there were a few bright spots from the trip. Damian Lillard returned for the Cavaliers game after a five-game absence due to a strained right hamstring. He did well in the game, scoring 25 points and dishing out six assists. Lillard shot an impressive 53.3 percent from the field and 6-of-9 from 3-point range. The only hitch in his game was the seven turnovers he committed.

In this article we’ll take a look at three other things to take away from Portland’s rocky three-game road trip. Should Blazers fans be worried, or was this just slight turbulence in a long season?
