The Milwaukee Bucks have a roster imbalance
The imbalance
With the removal of Monroe via trade, the Bucks have eight guards on the roster. Bledsoe, Brogdon and Dellavedova are all listed as point guards.
There are five shooting guards on the roster. Tony Snell is currently starting and has backup in the form of Jason Terry, DeAndre Liggins, Sterling Brown and Rashad Vaughn.

Middleton is the only listed 3 on the roster, meaning there are six players who occupy the frontcourt (though Liggins and Brown could also play on the wing).
Of these six, two have been injured for long periods of time and D.J. Wilson is a rookie. This has placed so much pressure on the remaining three players. Small-ball is being embraced by teams. However, that only works when there is someone capable of defending an opponent’s big.
While Maker is showing improvement, he is like a boy battling against men in the paint. Players like DeAndre Jordan, Andre Drummond and Steven Adams are able to collect offensive rebounds almost at will against the second-year big man.
The return of Parker will certainly help with the rotations. If Teletovic can get cleared to play, this will also help. However, until the Bucks get a dominant presence in the middle for the second unit, they will continue to struggle.
