The injury bug

The Bucks have not had a great deal of luck with injury. However, it is their frontcourt that has felt the impact for too long. Jabari Parker has been out with a knee injury for over a year. He has been assigned to the Wisconsin Herd, but that is not helping his NBA teammates yet.

Mirza Teletovic has played a total of 10 games for the season. He, unfortunately, is also out with a knee injury. However, it is the deeper, more concerning lung issue that is keeping him out indefinitely.

This means since the trade which sent Monroe, a center, to the Suns, the Bucks have been down two big men in the rotation. John Henson has battled his heart out as the starting center, but needs more help.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton have also been playing tremendous basketball and are a big reason the Bucks are fourth in the East.

However, their only rotation big left on the bench is Thon Maker. The 7’1″ center is playing at a level well above where most pundits would have thought possible for this project player. The problem is, of the remaining bench players on the full roster, the next tallest is DeAndre’ Liggins at 6’6″.

Joel Bolomboy is 6’9″ but is restricted as to how much time he can spend with the main roster due to his two-way contract.
