1. The Lakers are one of the best rebounding teams in the league despite their lack of size

When looking up and down at the Lakers 2017-18 roster, there was clearly a glaring weakness in the fact that the team lacks a dominant rebounding force. Acquiring Brook Lopez from Brooklyn added a seven-footer capable of taking up space in the lane, but Lopez has never been known for his ability to dominate the glass.

Even though the Lakers don’t have a center that can grab every rebound, the rest of the team’s rotation is filled with players between 6’5″ and 6’9″ that are incredibly athletic. Players such as Larry Nance Jr., Lonzo Ball and Kyle Kuzma have accepted the challenge of not being the tallest players on the court and have turned the Lakers into one of the best rebounding teams in the league.

Los Angeles currently sits second in the entire NBA averaging 46.8 rebounds per game, and have six players averaging five rebounds or more per game. The team has committed itself to putting in a team effort when it comes to rebounding which has been necessary given the team’s lack of size.
