As 2017 comes to a close, we take a closer look at which prospects make the most sense on certain NBA teams come next June with a new 2018 NBA Mock Draft.

As 2017 starts winding down, it feels about the right time to throw out a new 2018 NBA Mock Draft. We won’t know the draft order until late May, but this is a great thought exercise into how teams are built and who fits what teams best.

The top of the 2018 NBA Draft should be very deep and competitive. From Luka Doncic and a glut of big men to some underrated wings and a couple of explosive point guards, this group has incredible potential.

We’ve already seen players like Trae Young exceed expectations and many more will likely enter draft conversations between now and June. This mock draft is a chance to see how players are faring. It’s a chance to examine the future of many NBA teams and what they may think leading into and on draft night.

Throughout the year, draft positioning will change nearly every day or week. Even then, the lottery could drastically shake things up. For now, the positioning for this mock draft is based off NBA standings prior to the start of games on Dec. 21.
