7. Josh Jackson, Phoenix Suns

Last rank: N/A

Phoenix Suns rookie Josh Jackson returns to the Rookie of the Year ladder Top 10 after a brief hiatus. Jackson has had some strong outings since going 0-for-7 against the Toronto Raptors back on Dec. 13.

Since then, Jackson has put up 12.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game in the Suns’ previous four games. He scored 13 points and snagged five rebounds in their 97-95 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies Thursday night. Phoenix is 3-1 in their past four contests as well. Jackson has started 12 games so far in 2017-18 with recent starts coming in the absence of Devin Booker.

The increased playing time has been a valuable learning experience for Jackson, who’s learning to use his athleticism to crash the offensive glass as well. If he can find his efficiency shooting-wise, he could become a staple in the rotation alongside Booker. Booker certainly could use the help.
