The Washington Wizards are playing a bit worse than last year. Could this be because of injury or maybe something more? Here’s a deep dive into some of the numbers.

The Washington Wizards have had a bit of an up and down season in 2017-18. While only 30 games into the season, it feels like the team has had enough ups and downs for the entire 82 games. T

he biggest of those challenges is trying to survive while the driving force in their offense, John Wall, has come back from injury. On top of that, this season has consisted of Markeiff Morris missing time, Jason Smith moving in and out of the rotation and Kelly Oubre Jr. making fashion statements on the court.

But there’s more going wrong with the Wizards than just those things. The stats show this team has performed poorly in a number of ways both compared to last year’s team and the rest of the league this year.

In this article we’ll take a look at three statistics that may be in part the reason the Wizards are on pace to win only 43 games this season, a full six fewer games than last year.
