Toronto Raptors: 3 things to watch for against the Hornets
1. Look for the Raptors to come out hot
This game is the first game for the Raptors since they played the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday. That is a four-day break for the team. Because they are so well rested, don’t be surprised if they come out of the gates swinging.
The first quarter for the Raptors this season has been pretty straightforward: nothing crazy but nothing too slow. They come out and get points on the board.
Currently, the Raptors are sitting at 11th in the league with 27.1 points per first quarter. Although this is not bad, they are still only 0.2 points away from being tied with the New York Knicks for ninth in the league.
It is also worth noting that the Hornets are sitting at 15th in the league with 26.3 points per first quarter, which shows that the Raptors are statistically better in the first quarter this season.

It is going to be a long game, but don’t be surprised to see the Raptors take an early lead in the first and never look back.
