The Orlando Magic’s first extended road trip of the season did not go well. Here are four keys to ensuring the second is more successful.

Although the Orlando Magic started this season as one of the surprise packages of the entire league, they have slipped back towards the middle of the pack again.

The majority of Magic fans would have taken this 8-9 start no question, but to see the team slide out of playoff contention for the time being has been sad — even more so when we now know this team can compete with any other when they are playing to their full potential on both ends of the court.

It’s no secret that their first extended road trip of the season, in which they went 1-3, was the catalyst to their mini-collapse.

Now with another four-game swing away from home looming, this team must do all it can to get a couple of wins on the board.

Failure to do so will see them slip further away from the postseason pack, and endanger their season to the point that it may be over around Christmas time, just like in years gone by.

Here are four keys to ensuring the Magic get back to the AmWay Center for their game against Oklahoma City Thunder on Nov. 30 with pride intact and some wins under their belts.
