No tabloids!

In early January, Derrick Rose went missing and the team had no idea where he was. Fred Kerber of the NY Post first reported the story in January amidst the Knicks’ infamous collapse. Fast forward through an awful season when Carmelo’s alleged infidelity blew up the internet, following an April TMZ Sports report. All of this was also compounded by a season-long feud between Phil Jackson and Melo.

The New York Knicks lived in the tabloids last season. Comparatively, the new version of the Knicks continue to make news for the very reason they exist: basketball. The most recent rumblings in the New York media refer to Porzingis’ elbow and Tim Hardaway Jr’s foot. After what the team endured in the media last season, they will gladly discuss minor injury issues anytime.

The fact that these New York Knicks aren’t blowing up social media for extracurricular activities is something to be very thankful for. Their eyes are on the prize, focused on winning games and that’s exactly what fans deserve.

Good men like LeBron James, Mike Conley and Kemba Walker win games and lead teams. So far, it appears these Knicks have their own good men and that’s a real reason for giving thanks. The second reason to be thankful for this team is a person who will never play in a game.
