Los Angeles Lakers: A deeper look at Lonzo Ball’s offensive woes

It has been a rough start for rookie Lonzo Ball on the offensive end 17 games in. But what exactly is the problem with Ball?  It may go deeper than his style of shooting.

The Los Angeles Lakers are no strangers to drama. After all, this is Hollywood’s team. However, the criticism that No. 2 overall pick Lonzo Ball has been experiencing is certainly something he is not used to.

Now, coach Luke Walton must figure out how to get this crazy train rolling in the right direction. Because, without a doubt, it is a young Lakers squad that will improve with time.

Perhaps Lonzo needs time as well. However, time is hard to come by when rookies like Jayson Tatum and Ben Simmons are growing game by game.

So the question remains: Why does Lonzo Ball struggle so much on offense? The answer entails a number of things. From his unorthodox shooting style, to the way he takes himself out of plays, let’s examine Lonzo’s problems and see how he and the Lakers can improve.
