Philadelphia center Joel Embiid posted an incredible 80 FanDuel NBA fantasy basketball points in his last outing and is taking over as the most productive center in the league.

The final statistical line of Joel Embiid Wednesday night was the epitome of dominance in FanDuel NBA tournament play.

During his 34 minutes on the floor, Embiid registered an accumulation of figures never assembled in league history, as he totaled 46 points, 15 rebounds, seven blocks, seven assists and connected twice from 3-point range.

The performance enabled Embiid to join an exclusive group, alongside David Robinson, Shaquille O’Neal and Dirk Nowitzki as the only players in the past 30 years to finish with at least 45 points, 15 rebounds, five assists and five blocks in a game.

With an adjustment to FanDuel NBA statistics, with steals and blocks worth three points, up from two, Embiid registered 93.5 fantasy points, the fourth-highest single-game total in the history of the site.

Embiid is a gifted scorer from anywhere on the floor. The seven-footer is skilled in the post, connecting on 47.4 percent of his attempts between 10 and 15 feet away from the basket and against the Lakers, knocked down 2-of-3 attempts from 3-point range.

Over the past two games, Embiid has elevated his production, averaging 39 points on 62.5 percent shooting, 15.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 4.0 blocks per game.

Tracking the impact Embiid makes for the 76ers has become easier than ever with NBA InPlay, an accelerated version of fantasy basketball. NBA InPlay expanded from only nationally televised games to every broadcast, allowing fantasy players to choose one player each quarter and tally points based on their performance.

In the second half, Embiid dominated in different ways. Embiid took over defensively in the third quarter, blocking five shots along with 11 points, three rebounds and an assist. Embiid helped Philadelphia clinch a 115-109 victory by closing out the fourth quarter with 19 points, two assists and a rebound.

No matter the format, either a dynasty fantasy basketball league, a daily FanDuel NBA lineup or a 12-minute stint for an NBA InPlay contest, Embiid is worth a roster spot.
