7. De’Aaron Fox, Sacramento Kings

Last week: No. 5 (↓2)

Sacramento Kings point guard De’Aaron Fox moves down a few spots in this week’s Rookie of the Year ladder after a rough stretch of games. The Kings have lost three straight games, their most recent one by 46 points to the Atlanta Hawks.

Fox is averaging 6.7 points, 3.0 assists and 1.7 rebounds per game in the past three contests and he’s looked rather overwhelmed in the process. He’s shot just 28.6 percent from the field and 20 percent from 3-point range against some of the tougher guards in the East.

He’s faced John Wall of the Washington Wizards and Dennis Schroder of the Atlanta Hawks in his past two games and it’s showed in his production. He did have 10 points, five assists and three rebounds against the Wizards, but against Atlanta, he had two points, two assists and two steals in 19 minutes of work.

Adjustments should be on the horizon as they face Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers in a back-to-back scenario on Friday and Saturday night before facing a young Denver Nuggets squad on Monday night.
