Miami Heat: What’s not working and what can they do to fix it?

The Miami Heat sit at 6-8 coming off back-to-back losses — losses where they blew a solid lead late in the game. Something’s not working. What is it and how can they fix it?

Dumbfounded. Yeah, that sounds about right. There’s no other word or explanation to really express this horrible nightmare. Yes, it is a long season. Yes, it is way too early to panic. But it isn’t too early to let reality sink in. This Miami Heat team is falling.  

If this is a preview of what’s to come in the next couple of months, Heat fanatics are in for a long and dreadful season — a season mirroring the likes of a Michael Beasley-filled year or an injury-prone year that saw Chris Quinn lead the way. Yes, Chris Quinn.  

What a complete and disastrous turnaround in such a short time. Just this summer, excitement had filled Biscayne Boulevard. Not only because of how strong the Heat finished last season, but of how bright the future looked for the collective team. Former critics were quick to gleefully boast just how great this team was going to be. Don’t sleep on the Heat, they said. Well, the truth is painfully hitting us with jabs and hooks.  

In other words, everything has backfired. Here are the three reasons to the Miami Heat’s early season struggles.
