The Washington Wizards face Miami on the road in the first of two games in three days. Here are three keys as Washington looks to keep its winning streak alive.

The Washington Wizards have seemingly turned a corner in the 2017-18 season. Since snapping a two-game losing streak, they’ve won four of their last five games and won three games in a row. They’re currently 8-5 as they approach a pair of games with the Miami Heat.

The Heat are no slouches, as they boast a 6-7 record. Their backcourt of Goran Dragic and Dion Waiters doesn’t quite stack up against John Wall and Bradley Beal, they’ll be competitive nonetheless.

John Wall and Bradley Beal are playing great  but it’s been the other moving parts on the roster that have been the issue. Luckily for the Wizards, they’re healthy now and things have seemed to work themselves out.

Beal is averaging a team-leading 23.8 points per game entering their matchup with Miami. Behind him in second is Wall with 20.3 points per game.

The biggest weaknesses for the Washington Wizards have been owning the paint, the play of their bench and holding onto leads late in games. They’ve done well in their previous contests in those respective categories, but Heat center Hassan Whiteside looms on the other side.

Here’s a look at three keys as the Wizards face Miami in their next two games.
