After falling short in the 2017 NBA Finals, the Cleveland Cavaliers were active in the offseason. Here’s how some of their moves grade out so far.
The Cleveland Cavaliers made a slew of deals in the offseason, adding about a half-dozen rotational players, not to mention a potential No. 1 pick.
It was a facelift for an aging roster that clearly wasn’t up for the challenge of the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals, but the early returns have been poor, with the team slumping to 6-7 while battling a bevy of injuries.
How have the trades graded out so far? It’s tough to measure the offseason moves based solely on record or the first couple of weeks of a new season. A couple of deals will likely take months, maybe years to bear fruit.
But for now, here is how we grade the Cavaliers’ four major offseason moves. Did they pass? Or are they failing their first report card?
