In Week 5 of NBA Power Rankings, the Golden State Warriors are back on top despite hot streaks from the Boston Celtics, Houston Rockets, Detroit Pistons and recently, the Denver Nuggets.

It was only a matter of time before the Golden State Warriors worked their way back to the top of our NBA Power Rankings, and with the defending champs obliterating every opponent in their path over an ongoing six-game win streak, they’re back at No. 1 here in Week 5.

Aside from their absurd point differential over that stretch, the defense looks elite again, their offense is operating at a historic pace and they’ve absolutely demolished quality opponents in the Philadelphia 76ers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Miami Heat, Denver Nuggets, San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Clippers.

The Houston Rockets (six games), Boston Celtics (12 games), Detroit Pistons (five games) and Denver Nuggets (three games) are all streaking right now as well, but they just don’t have the resumes to prevent the Dubs from climbing back to No. 1.

The question is, where do these teams — and the rest of the NBA — stack up here in Week 5? Here are the latest NBA Power Rankings.
