The Phoenix Suns are finally trading Eric Bledsoe, sending him to the Milwaukee Bucks. Here are NBA Trade Grades for both sides of the deal.

After weeks of waiting, the Phoenix Suns and Eric Bledsoe will finally be able to part ways. As reported by ESPN‘s Adrian Wojnarowski and Zach Lowe Tuesday morning, the Suns are sending their former starting point guard to the Milwaukee Bucks.

In exchange, Phoenix will receive Greg Monroe, a protected first round pick and a protected second round pick.

According to Arizona Sports’ John Gambadoro, the pick carries some unique protections that diminish its short-term value for the Suns:

Per Woj, the second round pick is top-47 protected and does not carry over into 2019 if it does not convey this year.

This resolves an uncomfortable and distracting situation after the Suns sent Eric Bledsoe home following his infamous “I Dont wanna be here” tweet, which he claimed was about being in a salon.

Given the tweet followed three straight losses to open the season — two of which included a 48-point rout and a 42-point massacre, resulting in the firing of head coach Earl Watson — general manager Ryan McDonough sent the point guard away from the team and got started pursuing trades.

The question is, how does Bledsoe’s arrival impact Milwaukee? And could the Suns have done better in moving one of the league’s most underrated point guards? To sort it out, here are NBA Trade Grades for both sides.
