With the Milwaukee Bucks making some noise in the Eastern Conference this season, Thon Maker needs to add some aspects to his game to help them go deep into the playoffs.
Despite the hype around the Milwaukee Bucks, they are not a one-man team. Giannis Antetokounmpo is putting up some amazing numbers and is trying to lead the Bucks to a potential high seed in the playoffs. However, in order to advance beyond the first round, it is going to require a team effort. This is where players like Thon Maker come in.
Maker is pretty much the stereotypical center for the modern NBA. He is 7’1″ and super athletic. Maker is also able to run the floor with some of the most fleet-of-foot guards in the league. Not only that, he has tremendous range on his shot. He is a career 37 percent 3-point shooter.
There can be no questioning Maker’s enthusiasm for the game. Every time I see him on the court he looks like he is playing like it his last game. He was seen by many to be a project pick last year but since the injury to Jabari Parker, he has been an integral part of the Bucks’ lineup.
