The verdict

In the end, while it is a nice thought to think Eric Bledsoe might be in play, it just doesn’t make sense for the Orlando Magic.

The only reason to go after him is if the asking price is so low that it would be foolish not to. Even then, there’s no guarantee the experiment would work.

Phoenix may be a team lacking direction right now, but the Magic were just like that not so long ago. It’s entirely possible he has his sights set on a more established team.

As a veteran player it is completely understandable that he’d be more excited about joining a team in a position to win now, and putting him into what is still a young and impressionable Magic locker room could be a risk.

It’s an opportunity worth exploring, as most are, but no serious thought should be given to it.

The Orlando Magic are off to their best start in years and look to finally have a solid foundation to build off of. A disgruntled player could wreck havoc on that.
