The Orlando Magic are off to a hot start, but should they compromise their obvious chemistry by going after a higher level player in Eric Bledsoe?

For the Orlando Magic, their 5-2 start to the season has been one of the most unexpected storylines to develop around the league. Even more notable was how they demolished both the Cleveland Cavaliers and then San Antonio Spurs, winning both games by a combined 48 points.

This isn’t as surprising as you might think, however, as the team’s young players have clearly improved and the Magic added real depth with some shrewd offseason additions.

With that being said, it looks like the team has stumbled across a new dilemma early in the season: Whether or not they should look to improve more quickly now, or continue building.

There’s a case to be made for both, and really looking at the roster as it is currently constructed, it has the feel of one which could make the playoffs. Nevertheless, there will always be upgrades out there, and guard Eric Bledsoe of the Phoenix Suns is one such player.

His social media activity recently putting an end to the his stay in Arizona. Antics such as what he’s pulled make him a potentially risky proposition to insert into any locker room.

With those points in mind, let’s take a look at some of the pros and cons of the Magic adding Bledsoe to a young team that has fans more excited than they have been in years.
