2018 NBA Draft Big Board: Late October
26. Grayson Allen, PG/SG, Duke
Putting any negative feelings aside, Allen is firmly atop the senior class entering the 2018 campaign. He had a down year last year, but injuries and Luke Kennard’s explosion are unlikely to hold him back again — especially since, you know, Kennard is in the NBA now.
At his best, Allen profiles as the kind of sixth man-esque talent that a lot of NBA teams can benefit from. He gets after things on defense, and is a capable creator who can score in bunches offensively.
Duke is once again projected as the best team in college basketball, and Allen will be at the forefront of any success they have. Through all the tripping incidents, the former 5-star recruit remains a hard worker with a lot of talent. Expect a bounce-back season in his fourth year wearing a Blue Devils jersey.
