The Orlando Magic have began the 2017-18 season with an unprecedented 3-1 record. Here’s a look at their top five performers from the stellar start.
If you’d have told an Orlando Magic fan they’d start the season 3-1, with a win over the Cleveland Cavaliers to boot, every one of them would have bitten your arm off.
It wouldn’t have seemed possible to most, especially given how poor the team has been in reason seasons. Irrelevant, even. Yet that is exactly what has happened and the best part has been how it has been totally deserved, albeit very surprising.
The hope now is that the Magic can build on this momentum and notch some more wins before the schedule toughens up and the longer road trips begin.
Yes, we only have a small sample size to work with and this won’t last, but any chance to celebrate some optimism around the team should be taken.
Although this has absolutely been a team effort so far, with guys like Khem Birch even holding down the fort in limited run time, a few people in particular have really stood out. With that in mind, let’s take a look at five individuals the Magic have to thank for their best start in over five years.
