With one week of the 2017-18 season behind us, it’s time for Week 2 NBA Power Rankings, which feature a new No. 1 and several surprise teams showing out early on.

After seven days of action, NBA basketball is back and as entertaining, unpredictable and thrilling as ever.

In just one week’s time, we’ve seen the Golden State Warriors dip below .500 twice, the shorthanded Memphis Grizzlies go undefeated, season-ending injuries to both Gordon Hayward and Jeremy Lin, a Chicago Bulls player punch a teammate, a head coach get fired, a triple-double from a rookie, Giannis Antetokounmpo look like an MVP candidate, a game-winning 3-pointer off the backboard, a Phoenix Suns point guard force his way out via Twitter and oh so much more.

Though a week’s worth of games provides a small sample size, that almost makes NBA Power Rankings more enjoyable. Are these early highs and lows accurate signs of things to come? Or will they simply prove to be outliers as the 2017-18 season wears on?

In order to sort it all out, it’s time for some Week 2 NBA Power Rankings.
