2. Harkless needs to find his role

With renowned scorers like point guard Damian Lillard and shooting guard C.J. McCollum on the team, it can be a bit difficult to stand out as a scoring wing man — even more so when you’re not particularly known for your outside shooting ability.

Such is the case with Portland Trail Blazers swingman Maurice Harkless, who’s currently averaging 6.5 points on 35.7 percent shooting from the field and 33.3 percent shooting from behind the arc.

While we can expect Harkless to do well on the defensive end, the Blazers need him to knock down his catch-and-shoot opportunities, get out in transition for easy buckets and avoid isolation plays.

If Harkless can start hitting from behind the arc and help space the floor a little more, the Blazers will be all the more better for it, otherwise, the Blazers best start looking for a new 3-and-D player to take over as the starting small forward.
