Minnesota Timberwolves: 3 takeaways from 2017-18 season opener
2. Andrew Wiggins looked like a go-to scorer
The Timberwolves have a lot of firepower on offense this season. Andrew Wiggins stood out as the early leader offensively. He shot very well from the field and 3-point range.
Playing 30 minutes total, Wiggins scored a team high 26 points. His 3-point percentage is off to an excellent start, as Wiggins made four of his six shots from downtown. He looked very confident in his shot overall, going 9-for-14 from the field.
Wiggins has the ability to score at will. As the Wolves find out who is going to do what throughout the season, Wiggins made a good case for being the go-to scorer.
