3. Huge minutes with big results for Brogdon, Middleton

Malcolm Brogdon had a pretty great rookie year as far as efficiency is concerned and his shooting percentages. Last season, Brogdon would log 13.9 points per 36 minutes on his 40.4 percent shooting from downtown and 45.7 percent from the field.

On opening night in Boston, Brogdon answered with a hot hand, digging in for 41 minutes on the court with 19 points on 6-for-10 shooting from the field. He also shot 3-for-5 from beyond the arc and was a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line.

Suffice it to say his slash line of .600/.600/1.000 was a pretty good start to the year.

Alongside Brogdon with an excess of minutes was Khris Middleton, who had very suspect numbers contrary to his career 45.0 field goal percentage and 40.0 percent 3-point shooting. Middleton would contribute 15 points in 43 minutes in this game 6-for-17 shooting from the field and 1-of-5 from the outside.

Although both players may not have had equal output on offense, they were all-around threats to the Celtics, as they both held a plus/minus of +10 accumulated over 40 minutes, compared to Giannis Antetokounmpo, who had a +7 in his 36 minutes of playing time.

Without a doubt, Antetokounmpo is the star and leader of this team, but both of these young studs helped fight their way through a tough one on the road in Boston.
