With their preseason campaign now behind them, here are some interesting numbers that emerged for the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Philadelphia 76ers enter this upcoming season as one of the more interesting storylines of the league as a whole.

This represents a distinct change from the last few seasons, having undertaken a period of blatant tanking under the Sam Hinkie era, a.k.a. “The Process.”

But the emergence last season of president of basketball operations Bryan Colangelo coincided with an incredible collection of talent arriving that indicated the Sixers were destined to be a force for the next decade.

This recent preseason period was truly the first time this collection of talent was able to take the floor together as a unit. Joel Embiid, who had competed in just 31 games over his first three seasons, demonstrated in just 29 total minutes that his impact on the league could be profound in 2017-18.

Then there were the debuts of Ben Simmons and Markelle Fultz. Simmons, the No. 1 overall pick in 2016, had his first official moments on an NBA floor, and the hype surrounding his arrival was certainly justified. Meanwhile Fultz, this year’s No. 1 overall pick, has unfortunately had an injury-interrupted preseason schedule, and is hence slated to come off the bench to commence the regular season.

Prior to commencement of the regular season, here’s a look at some of the noteworthy statistical contributions from the Sixers’ preseason campaign.
