3. Show more touch around the rim

So far we’ve talked about a defensive improvement and shooting improvement for Sabonis at the foul line. While both of these are important, he is still a post player who needs to finish around the basket.

He shot 55.1 percent from three feet and in last season. That is almost four percent lower than the 5’9″ Isaiah Thomas. So, yeah, that needs to be better. Shots like this just have to go in for him:

If he can start to finish more effectively around the rim, he will drastically increase his impact on the Indiana Pacers’ offense.
