3. Lead the league in rebounding

Rebounding is arguably the statistic Hall of Fame centers build their legacy on. Though preseason provides a small sample for the Pistons. Drummond looks ready to reclaim his rebounding crown. Even in a year many considered disappointing, Drummond put up huge numbers on the glass.

Per NBA.com, during the 2016-17 season, Andre Drummond ranked fifth in offensive rebounding percentage and first in defensive rebounding percentage among 294 players who averaged at least 15 minutes in 40 or more games. The only other player in the top 10 in both was Dwight Howard (third and fifth, respectively).

In the Detroit Pistons’ final preseason game, Drummond pulled down 22 rebounds in the loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.

Drummond only played in three of the Pistons’ five preseason games due to a bout of pink eye. In those three games, per Ansar Khan of Michigan Live, he averaged 16 rebounds per game. Drummond’s preseason numbers have the fans excited about the upcoming season.
