Oklahoma City Thunder: 5 goals for Paul George in 2017-18
1. Lead Oklahoma City to 50 victoires
The Oklahoma City Thunder finished with 47 victories a year ago, a figure that ranked only as sixth-best among all teams in the Western Conference.
The Thunder managed to win 47 times, even as Russell Westbrook was the only player on the roster to average more than 16 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists or 1.5 steals per game.

The additions of Paul George and Carmelo Anthony have Oklahoma City believing it can climb much higher in the standings.
The glaring omission from the resume for Westbrook, Anthony and George is a championship ring — a fact all three are hoping will change after this season.
George has been on a 50-win team just once in his career, as the Pacers fell to Miami in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals in 2014, but he hasn’t been on a team expected to be an elite squad in the league.
Forget all of the statistics, highlight plays and nominations for awards or All-NBA teams, the goal for all three superstars is the same. Winning games is all that matters.

If Oklahoma City fails to win 50 times, the season will be a disappointment, especially after George was dealt away from the Pacers in search of an opportunity to truly compete.
