5. Quickly jell with superstar teammates

Paul George has yet to play with ball-dominant teammates during his time in the NBA. For him to register his fourth season with a scoring average of more than 20 points a game, he will have to make the most of his scoring opportunities.

Through the preseason, George established he can still light up the scoreboard. The 20.2 points per game he is averaging ranks as the fifth-most among all players in preseason play entering Friday’s action, as he has thrived with his long range shooting.

George knocked down 3.0 shots from 3-point range a night, connecting on a 41.4 percent clip.

Despite his scoring prowess, the Thunder struggled to pile up the points, logging an average of 95.2 points per game. Only Sacramento and Memphis failed to score more points during the 2017 preseason, a statistic that will have to change once the regular season beings.
