11. Ben Simmons, Philadelphia 76ers

This is probably a bit premature for a rookie, but with such an underwhelming crop of power forwards and all the hype surrounding this former No. 1 overall pick, it’s hard to not be excited about Ben Simmons‘ NBA debut.

Joel Embiid is the centerpiece of The Process, but the offense will run through Simmons’ playmaking as the Philadelphia 76ers‘ point forward. With his unique mix of speed, strength, height, court vision and passing ability, this 21-year-old rookie will be fascinating to watch, especially as he attempts to develop a decent jump shot.

That lack of 3-point range may limit his game in time, once defenses learn how to play him, but for now Simmons will have plenty of responsibility and opportunity with one of the more promising young teams in the East. Maybe we’re getting caught up in the moment, but Ben Simmons is going to be very good, very soon.
