5. Average 20 points per game

The Spurs are lacking depth in the frontcourt this season. Because of this, Aldridge has to be ready to step up more than ever. A major way he can contribute to the team’s success is through offense.

During his time with Portland, offense was what Aldridge was known for. He was able to average 19.4 points per game in his nine seasons. Now, it seems like he has lost his touch.

Although he has been able to average roughly 18 points per game during his time with the Spurs, his presence on the offensive end does not seem like a threat. This could be because the system the Spurs are used to using has Aldridge being the second or sometimes third option.

After his meeting with Popovich, Aldridge has been more active on offense. During the preseason he has shown he still has a deadly skill-set. The Spurs have even designed a play to get some more space to score.

With this new system of getting Aldridge more involved on offense, it seems like he is ready to prove he is still a lethal scorer. If he stays aggressive and takes smart shots, 20 points should come easy.
