NBA: Ranking all 30 starting small forwards for 2017-18
24. Bojan Bogdanovic, Indiana Pacers
Don’t get me wrong, Bojan Bogdanovic is going to put up solid numbers with the Indiana Pacers. In fact, he might even be their leading scorer. After all, before he got traded to the Washington Wizards, Bogdanovic was putting up 14.2 points per game with the Brooklyn Nets.
On a rebuilding Pacers team, Bogdanovic will be expected to score and, ideally, shoot the lights out like he did in D.C., when he canned 39.1 percent of his triples over 26 games.
However, at 28 years old, Bogdanovic’s defense and athleticism is already bad enough. It’s not going to get any better as he continues to age, especially under Nate McMillan‘s watch. Even if he has a career year in the scoring column, he’s going to give up more points than he puts on the table on most nights.
