After just missing out on the playoffs last season, the Denver Nuggets are poised for a postseason run. Here are five reasons why they will make it to the Western Conference playoffs in 2017-18.

The Denver Nuggets just barely missed the playoffs during the 2016-17 season. After a heartbreaking Russell Westbrook buzzer-beater, the Nuggets were eliminated from the playoffs on the second-to-last day of the season. They finished as the ninth seed with a 40-42 record.

This season, Denver is primed to make up for its disappointing finish to the previous season. As one of the youngest teams in the league, it can expect most of its roster to improve this season. Furthermore, it signed a much-needed two-way star in Paul Millsap to shore up the front line.

While the Western Conference improved this offseason, the Denver Nuggets were one of this offseason’s biggest risers. Here are five reasons why they can reverse their fortunes from last season and earn a postseason berth.
