The revamped Boston Celtics leave a lot to the imagination. Offensively, this team is ready to contend with the East’s elite, but the defense still leaves gaps that certain players in the Eastern Conference will expose.

The Boston Celtics have the roster to come out of the 2017-18 regular season with another No. 1 seed, but that is not set in stone.

This team will need to time learn how to play with each other and the hardest part will be figuring out the right defensive schemes for the personnel. Gordon Hayward, Marcus Smart, Marcus Morris and Aron Baynes are all defensive playmakers that will absolutely make an impact on the court.

Where problems arise is when those players need to hone in on one player, sacrificing their off-ball help. Of course, these are just five of all the potential players that can go off on the Celtics, but these players have dominant track records and require a team-effort to be stopped.

The list consists of two backcourt players, and three frontcourt players, mostly due to the Celtics’ lack of a true rim protector.
