2. Average 5 assists per game

Since tightening up his ball-handling skills, Hood has shown that he has the talent to serve as a playmaker for others on offense over the last few seasons. This is particularly true when he has the ball in pick-and-roll situations, where Hood seeks to either create space for himself, or throw laser beam passes to his teammates for open opportunities.

Yet, despite being able to find his way through opposing traffic, Hood has never managed to more to dish out more than three assists per game in his career. This is something that should likely change in the near future, as Hood will have the ball in his hands, and look to make things happen in the backcourt alongside Rubio.

Although Hood is known more for his ability to score in bunches, it is quite surprising that the Jazz have not experimented much with Hood as the lead ball-handler. He has the ability to recognize when he has an advantage against defenders, and is incredibly patient when he seeks to scan the floor.

Having players who possess versatility is a major asset for any team, and with Hood’s aptness to make plays on the wing, we should expect to see him tossing more dimes at a high rate to players such as Gobert, Derrick Favors and others.
