All eyes will be on Rodney Hood this coming season, as the Utah Jazz shooting guard has been working hard on his game to put together a career year. Here are the five goals for Hood in 2017-18.

In a year in which many expected him to emerge as a breakout player, Rodney Hood went through a series of highs and lows with the Utah Jazz last season.

The 24-year-old shooting guard, who averaged 16.1 points per game through the team’s first 19 contests, missed 27 games in his third season due to injury. This forced Hood to come off the bench for the first time since his rookie campaign, as numerous setbacks would hinder the former Duke star from returning to the form he displayed almost two years ago in Salt Lake City.

Now, Hood will have the opportunity to become must-see television, as the player who once took a backseat to Gordon Hayward will now be called upon to make up the difference following his departure in year four and serve as the go-to option in head coach Quin Snyder’s offense.

Can Hood find a way to lead the Jazz back to national prominence? Here are the five goals for the 6’8″ swingman in 2017-18.
