2. DeMar DeRozan wins the NBA scoring title

During the 2016-17 NBA season, DeMar DeRozan held the fifth-highest points per game average in the entire league. He finished behind Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Isaiah Thomas and Anthony Davis. That company is impressive, to say the least.

DeRozan averaged 27.3 points per game last year and is hoping to take that average even higher this season. He shot 46.7 percent from the field overall, though he only knocked down 26.6 percent of his 3-point attempts.

Obviously, the Raptors would like to see DeRozan shoot better from the perimeter. That area has been his Achilles heel on the offensive end of the court throughout his career.

Not only will DeRozan lift his points per game average again this season, but he will end up winning the NBA scoring title.
