What five bold predictions can be made for the Toronto Raptors heading into the 2017-18 NBA season?

The Toronto Raptors are heading into the 2017-18 NBA season with high hopes of once again competing with the Cleveland Cavaliers to represent the Eastern Conference in the NBA Finals.

Dwane Casey’s basketball team went through a fairly successful offseason. It was able to re-sign both Kyle Lowry and Serge Ibaka, which was a major question mark heading into free agency. There are not many changes on the Raptors’ roster, which should mean that they will likely be a top-four team in the conference once again.

Looking ahead at the upcoming season, the Cavaliers are without question the favorites in the East. After them, the Boston Celtics look like a good bet to be the second-best team. Toronto follows Boston and could very well end up above the Celtics depending on how the new stars mesh for Brad Stevens.

Needless to say, it is going to be an intriguing season to watch the Raptors. Many feel that they have not done enough to overtake Cleveland or Boston, but Toronto should be confident in its roster.

With all of that being said, what bold predictions can be made for the Toronto Raptors heading into the 2017-18 NBA season?
