NBA: Ranking all 30 starting point guards for 2017-18
30. Kris Dunn, Chicago Bulls
Poor Kris Dunn. How quickly the outside world has given up on him and all those pre-draft “Poor Man’s Russell Westbrook” comparisons.
Dunn is out for 2-4 weeks with a broken finger, but unless Jerian Grant has secretly been hoarding Like Mike sneakers in his gym bag, the former Minnesota Timberwolves backup will be the Chicago Bulls‘ best option as the starting point guard once he’s back on the floor.
As a rookie, Dunn underwhelmed, averaging 3.8 points, 2.4 assists and 2.1 rebounds in 17.1 minutes per game on dismal .377/.288/.610 shooting splits. Entering his first season at the helm of an NBA team, he’ll have to show marked improvement — like this — to start climbing this list.
