2. Kelly Oubre Jr. improved with the starters

Kelly Oubre Jr. came off a very underwhelming game against the Knicks, but performed well with the starting squad against the Cavaliers. One thing is for certain, he filled the gap at the 4 much better than Jason Smith had the previous game.

Oubre Jr. finished his night with 14 minutes on 5-for-10 shooting and 1-for-2 from beyond the arc. He grabbed five rebounds but was also plagued by his foul troubles, committing four on the night in his fairly brief amount of playing time.

Mike Scott is proving he is capable of scoring but not many were doubting that nearly as much as his 3-ball improving. On this night, it failed.

Scott shot 0-for-2 from beyond the arc and went 4-for-12 from the field while working on the boards, grabbing four rebounds in his 21 minutes of playing time. This could be brushed off as an off night, but his startling seven turnovers on the night became an awfully troubling issue, as he had the worst plus/minus of the team with a -6.

As of now, the safe bet for filling the void at the 4 might just be rotating Scott, Oubre Jr., and Smith until one of them shows some consistency.
