3. Achieve a career-high in rebounding average

One thing that Victor Oladipo does well is rebound from the guard position. However, one thing the Indiana Pacers do not do well as a team is rebound the basketball.

When looking at Indiana’s roster, they have very few players who are accomplished this area. Newcomer Domantas Sabonis has the potential to be very good on the boards, but he isn’t there yet.

Lance Stephenson is one of the better rebounding guards in the league, but beyond that, the Pacers are going to have a hard time competing on the glass — and that’s where Victor Oladipo comes in.

Oladipo is expected to see major minutes this season, and one of his goals should be to average a career-high in rebounding. If he can pull down five rebounds per contest, it would be an immense help to a unit that has no dominant frontcourt rebounders.

Myles Turner could take the next step and become a more formidable rebounder this year, but for Indiana to hold its own on the boards, it will have to be a team effort.

It’s important that Victor Oladipo have an outstanding year rebounding the ball, because it’s something he can do well, and something his team desperately needs.
